Why Kshitiz
Growing up in a small city in India, Kshitiz experienced heat waves and water scarcity as realities that affected everyday life. These experiences shaped an early understanding that environmental challenges are not separate from society. His professional experience later reinforced another lesson: when transition is not managed responsibly, the consequences can affect people, communities, businesses and the systems around them.
Over his career, Kshitiz has worked across the energy ecosystem with governments, regulators, investors, developers, technology providers, energy users and other stakeholders. His experience includes large-scale projects, policies and strategies, and work with organisations as clients, partners or employers spanning around the globe.
These experiences have shaped how he approaches difficult decisions. He uses first-principles thinking to understand what matters most while looking across different perspectives. Engineering helps establish what is possible; policy and regulation shape what can be done; economics tests what is viable; and commercial reality determines what can actually work. He challenges assumptions, identifies risks and connects the evidence for clients.
